Legal terms
Terms of use
These terms govern the use of Movoia. Movoia is a web application for collaborative travel planning and is operated by a sole proprietor.
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Scope
These terms apply to the use of Movoia through the website and related functions.
Movoia is intended for users aged 16 and older. No active age verification is currently performed. Paid premium features may be subject to additional requirements in the future.
Service scope
Movoia supports collaborative organization of trips, participants, invitations, costs, cost shares, payment progress, and settlement suggestions.
Movoia is not a payment service, accounting software, tax advice, or legal review of financial claims. Settlement suggestions are only for private organization within a travel group.
Account and sign-in
Sign-in is passwordless through magic links sent to the provided email address. Users must ensure that they have access to that email address.
Magic links, invitation links, and signed-in sessions must be kept confidential. Anyone with access to such links may be able to access account-related or trip-related areas.
Invitations and data of other people
Movoia allows users to invite other people to trips or add them as trip participants.
Users may enter or use personal data of other people only if they are authorized to do so. This includes being allowed to inform the affected person about the use of their data in Movoia.
Anyone sending an invitation is responsible for using the recipient email address correctly and lawfully.
Acceptable use
Movoia may only be used lawfully and respectfully. In particular, illegal content, spam, automated attacks, unauthorized access, disruption of operation, token manipulation, or circumvention of permissions are prohibited.
Users are responsible for content they enter in trips, costs, payment information, or participant data.
Free use and future premium features
The basic use of Movoia is currently free of charge.
Movoia may offer paid premium features in the future. Paid features will be marked separately before purchase; prices, terms, payment conditions, cancellation rules, and any withdrawal information will then be provided before contract conclusion.
Current free use does not create a claim that all functions will remain free permanently.
Availability and changes
Movoia is operated with reasonable care. No specific availability, freedom from errors, or permanent accessibility is guaranteed.
Functions may be developed, changed, limited, or discontinued where this is necessary or reasonable for operation, security, product development, or abuse prevention.
Deletion, anonymization, and shared trip data
Users may send deletion or privacy requests to the contact address listed in the imprint.
When an account is deleted, account-related personal data may be anonymized. Shared trip, cost, and payment progress data may be retained where other participants rely on them or legitimate documentation interests apply.
Backups may still contain deleted or anonymized data for up to 14 days.
Liability
The operator is fully liable for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health.
In the event of slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, the operator is only liable for typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Movoia is not responsible for the accuracy of trip, cost, or payment information entered by users.
Final provisions
German law applies unless mandatory consumer protection rules of the user's country of residence provide otherwise.
If individual provisions are invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
These terms will be updated when new functions, especially paid premium features, are introduced.
